Temporary change to classrooms and daily organisation/routines.
From Monday 24th April, 2017, Miss Holland and Primary 7 will be based in the IT mobile; Mrs Kinsella and her Primary 5 class will be in the Playroom/mobile until further notice. This is to accommodate the work of removing the first of the old double mobiles.
It is essential that ALL pupils report each morning to the assembly hall and do not go to any of the mobiles without a teacher when they arrive each day.
Due to the fact that the back playground is out of use until further notice, children will only be able to access the mobiles via the front yard and pupils in mobiles will access toilet facilities and the hall/dining room by going through the front doors of the school, as the back door will be locked until work finishes and the back yard will be closed off to all school personnel and all visitors and parents.
PLEASE go to the office if you require a child to be collected early from any mobile and a member of staff will go and get them for you. This is essential for the safety of all.
If you wish to speak to a teacher in any of the mobiles please go to the office so arrangements can be made for the teacher to come and speak to you.
This is an exciting time for our school and heralds the first of many upgrades and works for St Patrick's PS. Thank you all for your continued support with necessary changes to organisation and routines to make changes possible. I appreciate your help with implementing safe practice during work by contractors.
Until further notice we will operate 3 break times and 3 lunch times so children can play on the front yard safely;
For break: P1 - P3 @ 10:30 - 10:45am; P4 & P5 @ 10:45 - 11:00am; P6 & P7 @ 11:00 - 11:15am.
For Dinner: P1 - P3 @ 11:40 - 12:20pm; P4 & P5 @ 12:10 - 12:50; P6 & P7 & 12:50 - 1:30pm.
P1 - P3 will continue to line up at the side of the school; please allow staff to walk their classes through the front doors and around to the side of the school and collect them from the usual pick up points. This is to ensure staff know who has collected each child.
KS2 classes will line up in their usual designated area on the front yard at home times.
I will keep you updated on all progress and any further changes that may be necessary to daily organisation and routines.
Kind regards,
Anne McGuinness
Principal
