P5's visit to the Hill of the O' Neill

Yesterday P5's had a brilliant day at the Hill of the O' Neill and Ranfurly House Arts and Visitor Centre.

Peter Lant, the Education officer, took us along with Liz Weir ( a poet) ,on a tour of the centre and to the 'Hill of the O' Neill.' Peter was very informative and the things that he told and showed us ,acted as stimulus for our poems based on 'The Hill of the O' Neill.

Liz was a very friendly character who read a selection of poems  and who guided us in our poetry writing.

We will work on redrafting these poems in school before we send them to Peter for publication!
