Lough Neagh: People and Places
12th Jan 2018
Primary Seven were involved in a workshop today based on the history of the Lough Neagh. They listened to Steph (from TimeSteps) tell us how the people changed throughout the ages. how the ownership of the lough changed and how the Lough's uses were adapted through time.
Then they had a living history session, where "John Devlin", a local fisherman, told of his trade and his livelihood on the shores of the lough. The children then had a go at trying to recreate a fisherman's line. It was a most informative and enjoyable session.
