Fireman Mark visits our class

We met Mark 2 years ago when we were P3s and went to the Dungannon Fire Station as part of our topic 'Safe and Sound'. He came in to speak to both P5 classes last week to remind us about checking our smoke alarms on a weekly basis, talking to our parents about making a fire escape plan in our homes and we discussed what we might do if we were concerned about a fire or smoke in school and at home. Mark showed us posters about all the different ways a fire can start and how to prevent these things causing a fire. He brought us a present too! Each of us were given a fire safety folder with puzzles, cards and a board game. Thanks Mark. Remember everyone - thumbs up on Monday!
