Elf on the shelf

What a surprise today. Look who visited our classroom. Maximus the elf! He left us little letters and told us that he would be keeping a watchful eye on us - both at home and in school. We really were on our best behaviour today. Poor Mrs Kenwell got an awful fright though, when 'he' pulled her leg while writing on the whiteboard. He moved around our classroom today and even wrote on our board. We are going to have some fun with Maximus during December. We all left this afternoon, ready to take up our brushes and mops and see what jobs need done at home. We can't wait to Monday to see what mischief he has been up to. We really hope Maximus won't be too lonely.
